Welcome to the

Honoring a life well lived
griffin legacy

We are the Griffin family—a family rooted in faith, love, service, and the belief that one person can make a lasting
difference in the lives of others.
In April 2025, our hearts were broken when we said goodbye to the woman who was the center of our family, our mother, wife, grandmother, and best friend, Marlene McGuire Griffin.
For years, our mother courageously battled metastatic breast cancer and lupus. She faced cancer three separate times, yet never allowed her illnesses to define her. Through every challenge, she carried herself with remarkable faith, strength, grace, and dignity. Even on her hardest days, she found reasons to smile, encourage others, and make those around her feel loved.
To us, she wasn't just a Wife & mother—she was a bright light in a world filled with darkness.
She was the glue that held our family together, the voice on the other end of the phone, the person who remembered every birthday, celebrated every achievement, and prayed us through every difficult season. She had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Marlene loved fiercely.
She adored her husband, Donald Griffin Sr., and was endlessly devoted to her children, Donald Jr., Marshella, and Mariesha. She welcomed her children’s spouses, Eric, Lance, and Nicole, as her own and treasured every moment she spent with her beloved grandsons, Dexter, Canon, Callan, and Cayson. Her love extended far beyond our family and into her community, where she was known for her kindness, generosity, compassion, and beautiful spirit.
One of the things our mother loved most was helping others. Whether supporting someone through a difficult time, encouraging a friend, giving to a worthy cause, or simply offering a listening ear, she always found a way to make a difference.
Because of who she was, we knew her story couldn't end with her passing.
Our family has made it our mission to honor her life through meaningful fundraising events and community initiatives that support the causes she cared about so deeply. Through these efforts, we hope to continue the work she started—bringing people together, spreading hope, raising awareness, and helping those in need.
Our event is more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of her life, her values, and the extraordinary legacy she left behind. It is an opportunity to turn our grief into purpose, memories into action, and love into impact.
We invite you to join us on this journey.
Together, we can ensure that Marlene's compassion continues to touch lives for generations to come. Together, we can honor a woman whose greatest gift was the love she gave so freely.
We speak her name.
We celebrate her beautiful spirit.
We cherish her memory.
And we will continue sharing the love, joy, faith, and kindness she brought into this world every single day.
With love,
The Griffin Family
